Description
checklist. Each fits a different point in a decision.
What is product demo software?Software for making and sharing demos without a person on a call — usually a browser extension that records your product as you click through it, an editor for captions, blurs and zooms, and a player that gives you a link and an embed code. Interactive demo software is the most common kind.
How do you make a product demo?Decide the one thing the viewer should believe afterwards, prepare a demo account with realistic data, and record the workflow that proves it. For an interactive demo: install a recorder extension, click through the product, blur anything private, add captions, publish. A first one takes about ten minutes.
How long should a product demo be?Long enough to show one complete task with a visible result and no longer. Sixty to ninety seconds for a video on a website; eight to twelve steps for an interactive demo; fifteen to twenty minutes for a live demo with questions.
What is a good product demonstration example?A payments product issuing a refund and showing the customer’s email arriving. A scheduling tool booking a meeting from a shared link with the calendar updating. In each case the demo is one small complete task with a result the viewer can see, not a catalogue of features.
